The EUREKA II project is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the international competitiveness of Lithuania's research and innovation sectors. By leveraging the cross-border EUREKA network, the project facilitates market-oriented research and development (R&D) collaborations between academic institutions and the private sector.

Objectives and Scope

The primary goal of EUREKA II is to increase the internationalization of Lithuanian science and industry. The project provides a framework for Lithuanian research and higher education institutions, as well as Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), to participate in high-level international R&D programs.

Key activities include:

  • International networking: strengthening the involvement of Lithuanian entities in international consortia.
  • R&D support: facilitating projects throughout the innovation cycle—from initial prototyping and validation to the final evaluation of market-ready products.
  • Capacity building: providing expert training and raising awareness of the EUREKA program’s opportunities within the Lithuanian innovation ecosystem.
  • Knowledge transfer: promoting Lithuanian scientific potential on a global stage to attract strategic partnerships.
